Notes on this Kit for Heavy Duty Over-the-road Class 8 truck owners and operators...
I have it on good authority that this big rig kit works very well, however I will say that there are some issues that you will want to cover during installation. First off, you do not want to
install these where they can get hot, which rules out an engine bay. They also cannot be legally installed in the cab of the truck. What this leaves is for you to supply an external box or cavity to
attach the kit where it is both accessible and covered. The manufacturer is aware of this issue and is working on a version that has a mounting box. However, all trucks are different, and we know
that even after a box is fabricated for this purpose, some will decide to make their own custom box locally. Many vehicles, whether they are big rigs or automobiles, have room between the radiator
and the grille. The Alexis kits are made 3 inches square by 10 inches tall to accommodate this. Semi-trailers have a lot of room for this HHO Kit.
So we recommend that you carefully consider the mounting situation.
